how can i get the mildew smell out of a sailors knot bracelet?
every year i get a sailor's knot bracelet and i've only had it for about a few weeks and it already smells like mildew. it's not that i smell bad it's just that your not supposed to take it off all summer even when it gets wet and stuff. so how can i get the mildew smell out of it without taking it off? the smell bothers me soooo much!

Soak the bracelet in baking soda and water for at least 20 minutes. Then rinse well.
You can probably do this without removing the bracelet...just mix some baking soda and water in a bowl. Soak some paper towels in the mixture. Then press the paper towels to the bracelet. Let sit for 20 minutes. Remove the paper towels and rinse well.
Or, you could simply submerge your hand and wrist into the baking soda mixture. Then pull your hand out. Let the mixture sit and soak into the bracelet for 20 minutes and rinse well under running water.
