I am 16, can I arch at an archery range unsupervised?
I'm in the US and I'm about to get my license so i'll be able to drive to the range by myself. Exciting except for I don't know whether i have to have an adult there. I'm not hunting, and it's at a legal, legit range. I don't use a crossbow.
At the public range in my area adult (18) supervision is required. if the range your going to is run by the city or county parks it is likely the same. Call your local jurisdiction and ask.

Where can I get a real bow and arrow set for a good price?
I built my own bow and one arrow three years ago, and it works fine, but I really want to learn to use a real one. I don't want a cheap plastic kind, I'm willing to raise money for it, and if anyone could find one with real oak or cherry or any kind of sturdy wood on the bow that would be FANTASTIC. Thanks a million to anyone who can help me!
For some very good quality wood bows, there are many places to buy from. Of those which are available on-line, here are some websites:

http://www.robertsonstykbow.com/
http://rudderbows.com/

For some of the less-expensive bows:

For some fairly decent wood bows:

If you don't want to get a bow on-line, you should look for an ARCHERY store near to where you live. I stress the word ARCHERY because you will always find people who eat, breathe and live ARCHERY where the store concentrates on ARCHERY. They will be the best places to go for help in finding what YOU want and need.
The problem with going to places such as Cabela's, Bass Pro and the other "sporting-goods" stores, is that they do not concentrate on ARCHERY. Those stores do happen to sell bows, arrows and other archery equipment -- but they are more concerned with selling "the latest and greatest" whether it is truly what YOU want or actually need. Plus, because they do not concentrate on ARCHERY, there is no guarantee that the salesperson helping you will really know much -- if anything -- about ARCHERY.
If you want to buy a boat, go to a boat dealer. If you want to buy a fishing reel, go to a fishing store. If you want to buy a gun, go to a gun store. When you want to buy archery equipment, go to an ARCHERY store -- not a "sporting-goods" store.
By the way, unless the bow you made has a rubber string, and the arrow has a suction cup on it, they are "real". They are VERY real, in fact.

Wii ushers in a new era of gaming for everyone, thanks to a revolutionary new motion sensitive controller called the Wii Remote. The console which can stand vertically or horizontally
will be available for less than $250 bucks! The Wii will handle both full size Wii discs and mini GameCube discsand the Wii will have downloadable access to 20 years of fan-favorite titles originally released for Nintendo 64 as well as a "best of" selection from Sega Genesis and TurboGrafx. The built-in WiFi connection and included Connect24 ensures constant updates from the Web even when the power is turned off!
What do you people think about it?
I think that a lot of people are going to buy the wii because of the old games that they used to play before.
I want to get a Wii. While the ps3 and xbox 360 have some pretty good games, i get tired of pushing buttons to do stuff (except on fighting games). Sure, you get used to pushing buttons, but here, you can actually do stuff just by moving the controller. Fighting games i understand though. Take Red Steel for instance, what fun would pushing buttons be when you could act like your using an actually sword. The Warioware game will probably be the one that uses the Wii different styles of control. While i want to get the Wii mainly for the Super Smash Bros. game (which looks awsome so far), i really want to try some of the motion sensor features on the other games.
Also, on the WiFi note, how fun would it be to own people all over the world on Super Smash Bros. Brawl? Or get that satisfying last goal in Super Mario Strikers? Those are just two of the many Nintendo games that have WiFi.
Ok, now that i have discussed everything else, i will comment about the "older games." I have always wanted to play Super Metroid and the original Sonic games. Those two are the top to games i have wanted to play from the older generations without buying a whole new system. Now, i don't have to! I like that
Well, that's all i have to comment on.
I'm going to Chicago and want to watch a Bear's Game. What is the BEST bar to go to?
My two oldest son's and I are are going to be going through Chicago in Novemeber and want to go to the a great sports bar to watch the game and soak up Chicago atmosphere.
I'm not from Chicago but I have to say when I go up to Wrigley to go see the Cubs and when I don't have tix to the game, when I'm in town, I hit Mother Hubbards! It's locally owned and operated and everyone there are locals. It's been there for years and I would highly recommend it if you are looking for a neighborhood place.
There are a LOT of great bars though in Chicago and I hate to limit it to 1 but that's where I would go. I mean they do have an ESPN Zone and everything but so do a lot of other towns and you'll find more tourists there than you will true Chicago folks.
Hubbard's is not pretentious and is a dark, classic bar with huge screen tv's playing all of the Chicago sports teams. When I was there during the late Spring, they were showing the Cubs, White Sox and Blackhawks games on different screens so that you could not miss any of your favorite Chicago teams.
It's easy to find too, it's not far from the Blue Line in Downtown Chicago and on none other than Hubbard St! That's my recommendation anyway.
