Oklahoma City Thunder Tickets - Thunder Continues To Be Surprise Of The Season
Don't look now, but the Oklahoma City Thunder is playing like one of the best teams in the league. Backed by two explosive talents in Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, the Thunder continues to be one of the hottest teams in the NBA, coming off a 20-game streak in which they won 17 games. As of March 17th, the Thunder occupied the fifth seed in the tumultuous West, in front of longtime Western stalwarts San Antonio and Phoenix.
While the Thunder continues to improve down the stretch, the question seems to be no longer whether they will make the playoffs but rather if they can win a series or two. <a href="http://www.stubhub.com/oklahoma-city-thunder-tickets/">Oklahoma City Thunder tickets</a> all of a sudden are a hot commodity heading into the home stretch, mostly thanks to a young and energetic team that can play with any team in the league on a given night.
Everyone expected Kevin Durant to be a big-time NBA player from the moment the Seattle Sonics drafted him with the second overall pick in the 2007 draft. After winning Rookie of the Year, the Sonics were shipped to Oklahoma City with the franchise seemingly in shambles. But Durant has exceeded the enormous expectations thus far, improving his scoring dramatically in each of his first three seasons in the league and showing the type of promise that could bring him a series of MVP awards. Currently, Durant is hovering around 30 points per game and looks to challenge LeBron James for the scoring title in just his third season in the league.
Durant isn't the lone spark for the Thunder, however, as they also appeared to have hit a home run with the drafting of point guard Russell Westbrook. In just his second year in the league, Westbrook is averaging nearly 17 points per game and eight assists. Westbrook has been instrumental in spreading the ball around and keeping all players involved while at the same time being a force on defense as well, increasing his steals per game from his rookie season and locking down some of the best point guards in the conference. Power forward Jeff Green has remained a solid third scoring option and has been able to pick up the scoring load if Durant or Westbrook has an off shooting night.
Though the Thunder was a trendy pick to make some noise in the 2009-2010 season, few could have anticipated the situation that they currently are in, surging up the Western Conference standings as the regular season nears its end. If the Thunder was to win in the postseason, however, they will have to have big performances from their young and talented duo, not to mention from role players like Thabo Sefolosha and Nenad Kristic.
Critics of the Thunder's squad may point to a lack of experience and depth as reasons that they won't be able to be a serious competitor in the postseason, but that was the main caveat surrounding the Thunder heading into the regular season as well. As the Thunder continues to surpass expectations, it will be interesting to see if Westbrook and Durant can continue to take the league by storm. With a tough stretch of games coming up in the next couple of weeks against some of the best teams in the NBA including the Lakers, Mavericks, Jazz and Blazers, it will be interesting to see if the inexperience of the Thunder will finally catch up with them, or if they will continue to surge into unexpectedly welcome territory for a franchise on the mend.

Anyone else notice that the panda heads on Ben Stiller's suit were replaced with baby heads in tropic thunder? It was the scene for the "action" guy standing on a snow covered mountain. I remember some previews showing panda heads, but the actual movie showed human baby heads (alive of course). Anyone know the reason why lol?
I noticed that too &I wish I knew the answer to that. I was upset that they did that. I much preferred the panda heads just because they are so much more cuter &cuddly
